For drier, dehydrated and sensitive skin:

Our wildcrafted Kacip Fatimah, sustainably harvested once a year from Malaysia, has long been used in Southeast Asia for post-partum care and to combat estrogen deficiency and immune diseases. Healing my skin through trauma and acne has been a journey—one that evolved from struggle into a passion. The more I learned, the more I realized that true healing is not just a process, but a lifestyle. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s this: wherever the water flows, the healing follows. Hydration, I believe, is key—not just for skin, but for the body as a whole. It’s the essence of wellness, both internally and externally. But it’s not just about hydration; it's about long-lasting hydration, healing, and moisturization in one. So I asked myself: could I create a product that does all of that, while also providing a sensory experience that connects me to my culture?
After years of formulating, Yen was born. At some point in ancient history, people discovered the power of plants and their synergies. That knowledge, passed down through generations, has always fascinated me. I was fortunate to inherit some of that wisdom, and Yen is a reflection of that—an embodiment of plant synergy. It’s a self-sufficient product designed to create a solid foundation for healthy skin while reconnecting you to my culture.
Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the magic of plant combinations and their incredible healing properties. To me, it was something truly special. That inspired me to create a formula that captured the power of indigenous plants, a formula I could share with you—a formula that feels both nourishing and grounding.
Now, picture this: It’s the middle of April, the Thai New Year. Our entire country pauses for a three-day water festival to celebrate. This tradition stems from the age-old practice of showering our elders with water. In ancient times, we would stop everything—work, school—and return home to be with our elders. We’d bring with us beautifully handmade flower bracelets, made from jasmine flowers and roses, and an aromatic potion to infuse the water. We’d then pour this fragrant water on the hands and feet of our elders, asking for blessings, showing love and gratitude for the sacrifices they made so we could be here.
The ceremony is intimate and heartwarming, the air thick with the scent of rose, jasmine, and ginger lily. It’s one of my favorite times of the year—not just because I get to reconnect with family, but because it’s when I would get a glimpse into my grandmother’s kitchen as she cooked for the whole family. I was lucky to share that time with her, learning the significance of food, plants, and love.
